On July 9, Trinity Health Emergency Center – Rockford, located at 6050 Northland Drive NE, at Seven Mile, opens as a comprehensive emergency center with board-certified emergency medicine physicians, physician assistants and nurses on site 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week.
“Our experienced emergency medicine team will provide assessment, triage, evaluation, stabilization, treatment, or priority transfer and direct admission to the hospital if needed,” said Kristy Perez, MSN, RN, AC-CNS, CEN, Administrative Directory, Critical Care, Trauma and Emergency Services, Trinity Health Grand Rapids. “People from northern Kent County and the surrounding communities will be able to receive top level emergency care closer to home.”
The state-of-the-art emergency center has nine patient rooms, a diagnostic lab, medical imaging: CT, x-ray, and diagnostic ultrasound, and cardiac monitoring. Experienced RNs and Grand River Emergency Medical Group (GREMG) physicians and advanced practice providers deliver care for emergent conditions, injuries, and illnesses, including evaluations for patients with chest and abdominal pain, intravenous infusions, and medication administration.
The same board-certified emergency medicine physicians cover Trinity Health Emergency Departments in Grand Rapids and Byron Center.
“Our team is excited to staff this new emergency center,” said Alexander Gutfraynd, DO, Grand River Emergency Medical Group and Medical Director, Trinity Health Emergency Center – Rockford. “We have experience in treating all emergent medical matters and look forward to providing top quality care to a community that previously had to travel many miles to receive it.
