LIVONIA, Mich. (Oct. 16, 2020) – Due to falling temperatures, St. Mary Mercy Livonia has begun phasing out use of its outdoor COVID-19 testing loop. Beginning Saturday, October 17, members of the community are asked to visit the following locations for their COVID-19 testing needs.

  • Patients with symptoms of COVID-19 who need immediate care should enter the Emergency Department for testing and treatment.
  • Contact your primary care provider for testing locations near you.
  • Livonia-area patients who are concerned about exposure to COVID-19 and need testing can visit alternative locations below. Listed IHA locations offer drive-through COVID-19 testing. Appointments are required. Please visit http://www.ihacares.com/saveyourspot to reserve a timeslot.

COVID-19 testing for patients with scheduled procedures at St. Mary Mercy Livonia will continue in the hospital's outdoor testing loop until October 22. Beginning October 23, pre-procedural testing will move to the Pre-Surgical Clinic on the first floor of the hospital.

All COVID-19 safety measures will continue to be strictly adhered to inside the hospital. These enhanced safety measures include:

    1. COVID-free zones separate patients confirmed to have COVID-19 from others in our facilities.

    1. All patients scheduled for elective procedures are tested for COVID-19 prior to the surgery/procedure. If a patient tests positive, the procedure will be postponed until a negative result is obtained, unless urgent.

    1. Masks are provided and required for everyone inside the hospital.

    1. CDC standards are followed for facility deep cleaning with increased frequency and special attention to surfaces that are frequently touched, like doorknobs and flat surfaces.

    1. Continued visitor restrictions.

    1. Continued monitoring of Personal Protective Equipment, medications, supplies and bed capacity.
