Elise Arsenault, the General Counsel for Trinity Health Oakland and an Associate Counsel for Trinity Health Michigan, has been named a 2024 Notable Woman in Law by Crain’s Detroit Business.
Each year, honorees are selected by a team of Crain’s Detroit Business editors based on career accomplishments, track record of success in the field and mentorship of others. They are also defined as champions and beacons of their community while seeking justice, setting precedent, and managing high-profile cases.
As a part of the Trinity Health Oakland legal team, Arsenault recently helped establish the hospital’s joint operating agreement (JOA) with C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Nov. 2022. The JOA helped bring high quality, specialty pediatric care to the hospital, providing families with high-level pediatric care closer to home. Some of these services include pediatric cardiology, urology, general surgery and orthopedic surgery, neonatology, and other pediatric inpatient services.
To receive the recognition, honorees must hold a senior level role at a law firm with at least 10 professional staff members, be a practicing attorney for a minimum of five years, handle significant cases and clients, successfully defended or prosecuted difficult criminal or civil cases, be integral to the completion of large deals, and/or handle notable pro bono work, serve as a role model or mentor to other attorneys, and hold a leadership role in professional or community service organizations.
Arsenault, who received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her doctorate law degree from Wake Forest University, has been with Trinity Health Michigan since 2021.
