Ambrose was honored with a surprise celebration during Nurses Week before her fellow nursing leaders, members of the Professional Nursing Practice Council, previous DAISY Award recipients, and special guests Mark and Bonnie Barnes, Co-Founders of The DAISY Foundation.
Ambrose was nominated by four staff members on her unit. All nominations included attributes about Ambrose and the outstanding nursing leadership that she exhibits on a daily basis.
These tributes, among others, were included in the nomination forms:
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with Kat at both campuses, both as an Staff RN and as a Manager. It has been a great experience working with her in both roles. She brings such a positive attitude and helps our floor work together as a team.”
“Ever since Kat was appointed to her leadership position, she has affected the floor positively, seeking ways to hear staff’s concerns, ways to help, and will lend a hand answering call lights without being asked. She has been responsive to requests from our UBC and has not failed to follow through in that capacity.”
Please join us at Mercy Health Muskegon in congratulating Kathleen Ambrose on receiving this well-deserved award.
