August 2018 DAISY Award Recipient “Touches Hearts” of Patient Family Members at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s

Congratulations to Kyle Beimers, RN, who works in the Intensive Care Unit on Hauenstein 2, who was named as August 2018 DAISY Award recipient at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s.
Beimers was nominated by several family members of a former patient who stayed on his unit. In the nominations, they repeated that Beimers displayed reverence and his gratitude toward them as family members.
One of the nominations is below:
“Kyle Beimers gave excellent care to our loved one for several shifts. He always took time to answer our questions and tended to my father-in-law’s every need. What really impressed me was during his last shift, he thanked us to be allowed to care for my father-in-law, and he asked if he could pray with us. He did a beautiful job leading the prayer. It touched our hearts that he would care so deeply for his patients. We appreciate all the doctors and nurses here, but we will never forget Kyle.”
