LIVONIA, Mich. (Sept. 15, 2023) – Trinity Health Michigan, one of the state's largest health care organizations and a member of Trinity Health, today announced that Shannon Striebich, current hospital president and senior vice president of operations, has been appointed president and CEO of the Trinity Health Michigan Market.

“Shannon is an outstanding leader who engages colleagues and providers in collaborative work to strengthen operations and sustain our healing mission," said Rob Casalou, president and CEO of Trinity Health Michigan, Florida and Georgia markets. “She is dedicated to ensuring Michigan communities always have easy access to safe, affordable, high-quality health care.”

Casalou will continue to oversee the Trinity Health systems in Michigan, Georgia and Florida.

During her 21-year tenure with Trinity Health Michigan, Striebich has consistently excelled in positions of growing scope and responsibility, from hospital operations lead to president of Trinity Health Oakland and Trinity Health Livonia hospitals, to her most recent statewide role as senior vice president of Operations. It was in this role that Striebich led operational performance to benchmark levels, launched key initiatives, and transformed the health system’s service line models to make it easier for patients to access care. She began her career at Detroit Medical Center in 1997 as an administrative fellow before taking roles as manager of Operations and director of Physician Services at DMC Physician Group and, later, as administrative director at Children's Hospital of Michigan. She joined Trinity Health Oakland in 2002.

An active voice in the community, Shannon was elected Board Chair of the Michigan Health and Hospital Association (MHA) in 2023, and is a current member/past chair of the MHA's Keystone Center Board, the Patient Safety Organization Board, and past chair of the MHA's Legislative Policy Panel. Additionally, she is a Board member of the Care House of Oakland County and Trinity Health IHA Medical Group and served as co-chair of the Oakland County Executive Task Force for COVID-19. She is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Detroit Mercy and an advisory Board member of Lawrence Tech's College of Business and Information Technology.

Striebich is a member of the Midwest Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives where she serves as a member-at-large. She is also involved in the local Rochester community where she resides with her husband and four children.

“It’s an honor for me to serve our patients and to support the work of nearly 20,000 colleagues and the roughly 6,000 physicians and clinicians that make Trinity Health Michigan one of the top health systems in the state,” said Striebich. “We are going to help a lot of people and do some remarkable things together. I could not be more excited.”
