When you need immediate, convenient care for non-life-threatening conditions, the Chelsea Hospital Urgent Care is here for you and your family. Our mission is to provide timely, effective, and appropriate care to all our patients. No appointments are needed – just walk in and experience our caring services.

Our Urgent Care is conveniently located inside the hospital's Emergency Department. That means you'll receive care from the same great physicians and care team. Chelsea Hospital offers Urgent Care services to patients with symptoms or conditions that can be treated via urgent care.

Quality Care, Seamless Experience:

At Chelsea Hospital, we take pride in delivering the highest quality care to our patients. When you arrive at the Emergency Department and Urgent Care entrance, our medical personnel will evaluate your condition to determine the best course of action.

How it Works:

When you come to the Emergency Department and Urgent Care entrance, you will be asked whether you are seeking care for an emergency condition or are seeking urgent care services. You will be evaluated by Chelsea Hospital medical personnel to determine whether your condition requires an emergency room visit or can be treated with an urgent care visit.

  • If you request an urgent care visit and our medical evaluation determines your condition can be appropriately treated with an urgent care visit, you will receive an urgent care level of care and be billed for an urgent care visit.

  • If you request an emergency room visit or if our medical evaluation determines your condition requires an emergency room visit, you will be advised that you will receive emergency room level care and receive and be billed for an emergency room visit.

With our location, if your condition is more severe, you’ll have easy access to emergency care, lab and radiology services. Chelsea Hospital will ensure you are cared for appropriately and on your way to recovery.

Late Summer/Early Fall Common Reasons for Urgent Care Visits:

As late summer and early fall approach, certain health concerns become more common. We're here to help with:

  1. Allergies and Sinus Issues: Late summer and early fall can trigger allergies and sinus problems, causing discomfort and respiratory issues.
  2. Cuts and Wound Care: Outdoor activities can sometimes lead to cuts and wounds that may require stitches or special care.
  3. Sprains and Strains: Sports and outdoor enthusiasts might experience sprains or strains, necessitating expert evaluation and treatment.
  4. Cold and Flu: With the change in weather, cold and flu symptoms may arise, making it essential to seek prompt medical attention.
  5. Urinary Tract Infections: UTIs can be quite common during this time, and our Urgent Care team can help diagnose and treat them effectively.
  6. Tick and Insect Bites: Spending time outdoors increases the risk of tick bites, and early detection and treatment are essential to prevent tick-borne illnesses.
  7. Rashes and Skin Irritations: Warm weather and outdoor activities can lead to rashes, skin irritations, or allergic reactions, which may require medical attention and relief.
  8. Dehydration: Heatwaves and increased outdoor activities can lead to dehydration, especially in young children and the elderly, making rehydration and medical assessment crucial.
  9. Gastrointestinal Problems: Changes in eating habits or foodborne illnesses may cause gastrointestinal discomfort and require prompt evaluation and treatment.
  10. Seasonal Influenza Vaccinations: Late summer and early fall are opportune times for people to get vaccinated against seasonal influenza to protect themselves and their loved ones.
