Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with Institutional Accreditation Requirements, applicants to Trinity Health Livonia Hospital residency training programs must be informed in writing of the terms and conditions of employment and benefits. The following summary is provided for your reference. Additional information is available upon request.
Other benefits include: Health care spending account, dependent care spending account, family life insurance, group legal plan, adoption benefit, retirement plan, 403b, and parking. Each resident is also assigned a discretionary spending account that may be used to cover the cost of certain educational expenses (e.g., external conferences, books and journals, educational software, etc). In addition, residents receive laundry service for lab coats, free meals while on duty in the hospital and comfortable sleep quarters while on call in the hospital. (Housing is not available.)
Resident Responsibilities
Incoming residents must pass an employment check and health screening prior to work. All residents must hold and maintain current state licensure and ACLS/BLS certification and meet eligibility criteria established by the accrediting organization. A copy of the full resident contract is available from the GME office upon request.
