About this event
This virtual, 6-week series provides attendees with foundational knowledge in the six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine (nutrition, movement, social connection, sleep, stress management, avoiding risky substances).This virtual, 6-week series provides attendees with foundational knowledge in the six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine (nutrition, movement, social connection, sleep, stress management, avoiding risky substances). Classes empower learners with the science behind the evidence-based recommendations and how to turn this information into applicable, daily actions.
Classes include:
1. Foundational knowledge of the six pillars of lifestyle medicine
2. Culinary demos
3. Translating the information presented into applicable, daily actions
4. Weekly check-in emails including links to recipes, class slides, handouts and additional resources
Insurance is billed for these classes. Contact your insurance provider to verify whether or not they cover Medical Nutrition Therapy CPT code 97804 and ask if you need a referral from your physician. Each class you attend is billed to your insurance. If your insurance does not cover the classes, the cost is $66 per class. The total out-of-pocket cost for all six classes is $396.
