“I was born to lead and help people,” said Nicole Broome, lead patient access representative for Trinity Health Oakland. “I don’t even think of it as helping; it’s just something I naturally do.
“‘My Why’ came from my passion to help others, because someone has always helped me. I began working at Trinity Health at a time of my life when I was kind of confused as to which direction my life was going toward. I started off working in Joe's Java Market Place. My coworker at the time was taking classes at Oakland Community College. I was telling her how I wanted to finish school, but financially I couldn't afford it. She encouraged me to re-enroll and speak with financial aid. I did and was able to take advantage of the hospital’s tuition incentive program. I was able to complete all of my classes and graduate with honors!
“Now I'm now the team lead of patient access at Trinity Health Oakland, and I look forward to growth within the company to continue helping our patients to have the best experience here at Trinity Health Oakland,” said Nicole.
Nicole was proudly raised by her grandparents. She has grown to shadow their dedication to serve their local community of Pontiac. Her grandfather, especially, was a pillar in the community. Nicole knows she has big shoes to fill, but she’s up for the challenge — knowing her coworkers will support her along the way.
“Working at Trinity Health has been rewarding for me. If you’re looking for a career to serve and help people, Trinity Health Michigan is the place to be! It’s like a family here. Spiritually, mentally, and physically — it’s a good place to be,” said Nicole.
It is in Nicole’s beautiful nature to give back to others. Trinity Health Michigan allows her to fulfill her passion to serve. Trinity Health Michigan enables her to make her grandparents proud.
